Instead of manually tagging financial statements, iC automatically matches your filing data to appropriate XBRL concepts. iC also learns from each completed tagging, making the automatic matching more accurate and your conversion process faster with each subsequent filing. When tagging is completed, iC generates an XBRL package that can be uploaded directly to the SEC, including dynamically generated extension taxonomies. With iC’s automated features and learning capability, filers are able to generate their XBRL documents in a matter of minutes.

CompSci’s iF (Interactive Forms) enables users to easily create instance documents using reusable Web forms or templates. Currently, iF supports the US-GAAP and IFRS taxonomies. For the US-GAAP, users simply choose one or more taxonomy entry points, optionally upload their own extension taxonomy files, and then our tool dynamically generates a reusable Web-form or template. This form is a spreadsheet-like interface with the technical aspects of XBRL invisible to the user. When the user enters and saves data, iF tags it and generates an XBRL instance document.

I-Metrix As Reported XBRL Dataset provides instant access to detailed company fundamental data filed in XBRL with the SEC

Ease of Use
Working with the XBRL documents as filed by companies with the SEC can be a challenge. Analysis often requires that the user search for and retrieve multiple documents. The I-Metrix As Reported XBRL Dataset allows the user to make a single query across the entire range of documents. XBRL documents can also be complex with different companies describing the same time period in different ways. Detailed information in footnotes and disclosures can be represented using complex dimensional structures. The I-Metrix As Reported XBRL Dataset hides the technical complexities of XBRL making the information much more approachable and easier to access.

Level of Detail
I-Metrix As Reported XBRL dataset contains the most detailed fundamental data available. The dataset includes information contained in all primary financial statements. And with detailed tagging requirements starting this year, the dataset also includes information contained in footnotes and disclosures.

Instant Access
Data is available within seconds after the XBRL document is filed with the SEC. Breadth I-Metrix As Reported XBRL Dataset includes a history of primary financial statements and tagged footnotes from all companies filing XBRL documents with the U.S. SEC.

Leverage
The detailed information in the As Reported XBRL Dataset can be combined with industry and sector benchmarking data, historical data, analyst estimates and stock performance data already available with the EDGAR Online’s I-Metrix Professional Excel Add-in, so that users can easily build powerful financial models that leverage the instant availability of the information.

Delivery
Users can access the data set through I-Metrix Professional. Developers interested in integrating the dataset into an application can use I-Metrix Architect: a web service API.

This enables our clients to enjoy the incentives today and to be prepared for this inevitable mandate – without making a substantial investment in resources. To date, Merrill has submitted valid XBRL filings with zero calculation errors. By contrast, less than 50 percent of filings have this level of accuracy.

Merrill has provided mission-critical services for business reporting to corporations since 1968. Whether it’s formatting and filing time-sensitive SEC filings, providing litigation support and information and document services for the legal industry, or integrating solutions for customer communications, Merrill has built a strong reputation for providing quality outsourced solutions.

Merrill is an active participant in XBRL International, a not-for-profit consortium of approximately 450 companies and agencies worldwide working together to build the XBRL language, and promote and support its adoption.
