The Brix Project

partner access
The Brix Project is an initiative of XBRL US Labs to advance and demonstrate the usability of XBRL and raise awareness about XBRL to technology experts. The Brix app uses the power of XBRL to deliver tagged corporate financial reports filed by publicly-traded companies to your iPhone, moments after they are filed with the SEC. The app allows users to search by company or label, report on filings or specific tags and get alerts.

Corporate Actions Taxonomy

member login | partner access
To help mitigate the risks and drive down the costs associated with processing corporate actions, DTCC, SWIFT and XBRL US have joined forces to implement a solution. The resulting initiative builds on the work undertaken globally to promote existing ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards for corporate actions and integrates the benefits of XBRL electronic data tagging technology.

XBRL Consistency Suite

member login | partner access
This service is an essential part of a company’s XBRL creation process, ensuring that your XBRL financials are as error-free as possible. The XBRL Consistency Suite features an automated tool that performs over 6,000 tests against your XBRL document to identify errors and inconsistencies before you submit them to regulators and shareholders.

Become an XBRL US Labs Research Partner

Research is critical to implementing world-class XBRL taxonomies. XBRL US Labs leverages our platform, methodologies and people through research partnerships.

Who are XBRL US Lab research partners?

Partners come from business, nonprofit or government to provide funding, fellowships and internships. The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and SWIFT have provided leadership and support for a collaborative, stakeholder-driven initiative to standardize corporate actions using XBRL.

"In the XBRL US Labs, we have the ability to work hands-on, share ideas, take things apart and consider different approaches – and together we find the best solutions."
- L.A. Orloff, XBRL US Labs Research Fellow; Manager, Product Development, DTCC

What kind of commissioned work is taken on?

XBRL US Labs will solicit and consider proposals for research topics that address the quality of taxonomies and the harmonization of XBRL with other XML standards to enable faster XBRL adoption. Learn about XBRL US Labs initiatives by clicking on the links on the right.
