Advancing the XBRL standard
Research is critical to implementing world-class XBRL taxonomies. XBRL US Labs leverages our platform, methodologies and people through research partnerships.
Who are XBRL US Lab research partners?
Organizations that provide funding, fellowships and internships for specific research projects.
What kind of commissioned work is taken on?
XBRL US Labs will solicit and consider proposals for any research topic that addresses the quality of taxonomies and the harmonization of XBRL with other XML standards to enable faster XBRL adoption.
Why become a XBRL US Labs research partner?
- Participation in research with a qualified, proven team of XBRL experts
- Opportunity to acquire knowledge and expertise through direct participation of your staff as members of the research team
- High visibility and association with the specific research
- Membership in XBRL US: access, influence and visibility on other XBRL-related programs and events
How does it work?
Potential partners submit a brief initial proposal for the work of interest, outlining objectives and expected deliverables to research@xbrl.us. The XBRL US Labs team reviews each proposal and contacts prospective partners for additional information. Partner proposals must meet certain criteria as noted above and acceptance depends on many factors including timeline, scope and available resources. XBRL US and the partner(s) will jointly develop a statement of work describing the initiative in more detail including milestones, timeline and scope.
