The XBRL US Data Quality Committee (DQC) publishes three new freely available Rulesets every year which can be accessed through your own XBRL provider, or on the XBRL US web site. Starting this year, the DQC rules have been incorporated into the FASB’s US GAAP Financial Reporting Taxonomy.
Attend this webinar to learn about the FASB process for reviewing and incorporating XBRL US Data Quality Committee (DQC) rules into the US GAAP Taxonomy. How does the review process work? Why has the FASB taken this step? How do the DQC and the FASB work together to align the rules appropriately with the taxonomy?
You’ll also find out about the DQC’s latest approved Ruleset and proposed 14th Ruleset which contains six new rules for filers using the IFRS taxonomy with their SEC filings, which are similar to rules previously developed for filers using the US GAAP taxonomy.
Speakers:
- Joan Berg, Director of XBRL Services at Toppan Merrill, and Chair, XBRL US Data Quality Committee
- Campbell Pryde, President and CEO, XBRL US
- David Shaw, XBRL Supervising Project Manager, Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
