The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced that the initial draft of the FERC Taxonomy, which the Commission has been developing for entities filing FERC forms 1, 1-F, 2, 2-A, 3-Q electric, 3-Q natural gas, 6, 6-Q, 60 and 714, is now available, along with supporting documents, at https://www.ferc.gov/docs-filing/forms/forms-refresh.asp.
The taxonomy can be viewed in Yeti and public comments are now being accepted in a review period that will conclude on January 17, 2020. After the initial public comment period, the Commission will review submitted comments and publish a second draft release prior to a technical conference to be held in February which will be open to vendors, issuers and the public to discuss and provide further input to the draft. After the technical conference, the Commission will again solicit comments, and then will issue an order to adopt the final taxonomy and supporting materials, including an implementation schedule. The technical conference is open to the public and will be webcast.
