Registration is open for an upcoming Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) webinar: 2026 GAAP and SEC Reporting Taxonomy Improvements and SEC Update.

The discussion will include the following:

  1. An update from the SEC Office of Structured Disclosure staff on the intersection of machine-readable data and AI, data quality of filings, and updates on taxonomies maintained by the SEC staff.
  2. Overview of the 2026 Taxonomy Releases, including discussion of:
    1. New modeling and examples in the GAAP Taxonomy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document for capitalized costs for internal-use software and software to be sold, leased, or marketed
    2. The 2026 DQC Rules Taxonomy and 2026 Meta Model Taxonomy
    3. Modeling enhancements related to financial statement location dimensions, typed dimensions, and extensible enumerations.

Speakers: Julie Marlowe, Assistant Director, SEC Office of Structured Disclosure. In addition, members of the XBRL staff will provide an update on taxonomy activities.

Recommended CPE: Participants in the live broadcast (which is offered free of charge to those who register) will be eligible for up to 1.8 hours of continuing professional education (CPE) credits. (Please note that CPE credit is not available for group viewing of the live broadcast.) While registration is not limited, attendance is limited to the first 1,000 individuals that log on.
