Investors, data providers, regulators and the media to cover how to use structured financial data
XBRL US announced today that it will hold a half-day forum for investors, analysts, regulators, data and analytical tool providers, Finding Value with Smart Data. The forum, which is free to the public, is hosted by Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business at 55 Lexington Avenue in New York. A keynote address will be provided by the Investor Advocate of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Rick Fleming. The program will cover how standards can streamline processing and reduce costs and delays in capital market operations.
Thousands of public companies submit financial data in structured data (XBRL) format to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The objective of the forum is to demonstrate to investors and other users of corporate financials how structured data improves business reporting by providing illustrations of its use today.
