The XBRL US Regulatory Modernization Working Group (RMWG) submitted a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requesting additional information about the upcoming EDGAR BETA Test which is being established to support the Filing Fee Disclosure and Payment Methods Modernization final rule.
The letter notes that the working group greatly appreciates the plan to conduct the BETA but is concerned that registrants may not have sufficient information about the BETA to see the value in participating. The SEC has committed to provide additional information about the BETA program in September, however interested registrants and vendors must sign on to participate by August 31, 2023.
