The Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) final rule, “Securities Offering Reform for Closed-End Investment Companies” has an initial compliance date of August 1, 2022. The new rule includes structured data (XBRL) requirements geared to make financial information easier for investors to analyze and to help automate regulatory filings and business information process. Investment management companies can get up the learning curve quickly by attending this webinar series taught by XBRL providers with decades of experience working with investment management filers on their SEC submissions.
This first session (of 2) if a review of what needs to be tagged, where to find (and how to use) samples provided by the SEC, and a discussion of where facts that must be tagged appear in your own filings.
Speakers include:
- Michael Boyle, XBRL Manager, Donnelley Financial Solutions (DFIN)
- Joe Luczka, Director, Advisory, KPMG LLP
- Guy Stanzione, Compliance Services Director, Toppan Merrill
- Scott Theis, CEO, Novaworks, LLC, and Chair, XBRL US Domain Steering Committee
Be sure to also register for session 2 which will be held on June 7!
This event is free to attend, with an option to participate and earn 1 CPE for $49 ($39 XBRL US Members) – look for details in the registration confirmation.
