The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) adopted the final rule, Special Purpose Acquisition Companies, Shell Companies, and Projections, requiring special purpose acquisition companies (SPAC) to prepare prospectus disclosures and financial information in Inline XBRL for IPOs and de-SPAC transactions starting in June 2025. This is the first time that SPACs are required to adopt structured, standardized reporting.
