With the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act of 2014 (DATA Act), federal agencies and citizens alike now have access to federal spending data that can answer that question. But access to the data is just the first step toward gaining insight, assessing performance, and making decisions. In order to not only understand where the money was spent, but also where we should spend in the future, we must empower our federal agencies with data science tools and technology to make better decisions with every tax dollar.

Champion our country’s financial future.
Through the power of advanced analytics and data science, the hackathon participants will solve this question: How can we enable federal agencies to harness data to improve the performance of government and better allocate resources to support economic growth and citizen services?
