FERC Taxonomy Draft for Public Review || Register to Attend Technical Conference

On January 21, 2020, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced plans to extend the public review period by 45 days because of a request for more time from industry representatives. The review period will now close on March 2, 2020. In addition, the technical conference, which will be open to vendors, issuers and the public to provide an opportunity to discuss and provide further input to the draft taxonomy, has been rescheduled to March 24 through March 26, 2020. The technical conference will be held at FERC Headquarters, at 888 First Street NE in Washington, DC. XBRL US members are encouraged to attend and can register here.

As a reminder, the taxonomy covers financial information reported by entities filing FERC forms 1, 1-F, 2, 2-A, 3-Q electric, 3-Q natural gas, 6, 6-Q, 60 and 714; and can be accessed, along with supporting documents, at https://www.ferc.gov/docs-filing/forms/forms-refresh.asp.
