The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) made an announcement on the GENIUS Act: Reporting Forms and Instructions for Permitted Payment Stablecoin Issuers Subject to the Jurisdiction of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which included a request for comment on various aspects of the proposal.
The proposal is a new information collection related to the weekly and quarterly reporting forms that must be completed by permitted payment stablecoin issuers and foreign payment stablecoin issuers under the proposed rule issued by the OCC on March 2, 2026. Comments responding to the second OCC rule proposal must be received by August 11, 2026.
