The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced plans to host an event on machine-understandable data and super intelligence (SI) featuring panel discussions on the use of artificial intelligence, risks and costs, and how the SEC can support and use these technologies. The panels will address "How Does the Market Use Super Intelligence (SI) and Machine-Understandable Data" and "What risks and costs related to SI and machine-understandable data should the SEC consider? b) How could the SEC better facilitate SI and machine-understandable data?"

Each panel includes members of the XBRL US consortium. The event will be held on November 9, 2026, from 8 AM to 3:30 PM ET. The panels will be in-person but a webcast will be available for remote access.
