On May 20, the SEC published a rule proposal: Investment Company Reporting Modernization, which would make certain changes to investment company reporting requirements including introducing new forms and retiring some old forms. The proposal, which will be out for a 60 day public comment period, would also require the reporting of information in structured data format and references XBRL.
