Interactive program for SEC filers taught by top U.S. XBRL professionals

XBRL US, the national consortium for XBRL business information reporting, announced today that it will conduct a one-day workshop focusing on detailed footnote tagging which all public companies must provide in their XBRL submission this year per the XBRL mandate set by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Larger companies in the first and second phases of the SEC rollout of XBRL have now provided at least one XBRL submission using detailed footnote tags. This workshop will instruct them in best practices, how to refine their control and review process, and help them prepare for the imminent discontinuation of the SEC’s limited liability provision on XBRL documents. Smaller companies in the third phase of the SEC rollout will be providing detailed footnote tags for the first time this year. This workshop will provide them with the building blocks to understand how to tag levels 1 – 4 of detailed footnote content with specific footnote examples including debt, segments, acquisitions, income tax and AOCI roll-forwards.

What: Interactive sessions with roundtable discussion and in-class exercises mean attendees walk away with:

  • Thorough understanding of the US GAAP Taxonomy
  • Knowledge of the proper controls and review process

  • 10 CPE credits
