WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ — XBRL US, the national consortium for XML standards in business reporting and developers of the XBRL US GAAP Taxonomies, is conducting an in-person training workshop in San Francisco, CA on September 16, 2009 to educate preparers on how to create XBRL-formatted financial statements for mandatory submission to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This hands-on session will demonstrate how to use the XBRL US GAAP Taxonomies and how to convert primary financial statements and block tag footnotes in XBRL format.

All attendees will leave the workshop with a completed XBRL-formatted financial statement and a repeatable step-by-step guide. Preparers can register for the workshop at http://xbrl.us/events/Pages/training.aspx.

Who should attend: CFOs, Controllers, Assistant Controllers, External Reporting Managers, and finance staff members who have direct responsibility for implementing SEC XBRL filing requirements.
