XBRL US submitted a comment letter responding to the SEC reopened proposal on Listing Standards for Recovery of Erroneously Awarded Compensation. This proposal was originally proposed in 2015. On the SEC Agency Regulatory List, this proposal is expected to be finalized by October of this year. In our letter, we agreed with the SEC proposal that disclosure of policies providing for the recovery of incentive-based compensation be prepared in XBRL format, however we encouraged the SEC to opt for Inline XBRL, rather than traditional XBRL. Furthermore, we suggested that the Commission consider requiring detailed tagging of facts reported in the policy disclosure such as names of individuals, dates, and monetary amounts, to improve the usefulness of the information reported and encourage greater consistency in reporting.
