Improving Issuer-Investor Communication

Reducing risk and cost through data and technology standards

On May 28, 2009, keynote speakers from the SEC, DTCC, NIRI, New York Life Investments and Pipeline Trading Systems and panelists explored how to improve the process for conveying important corporate action announcement information to investors through the use of data and technology standards to:

  • improve issuer-investor communication
  • result in more accurate information
  • increase timeliness
  • reduce processing costs

Corporate Actions 2009 examined the business case for solutions through standards and culminated in the demonstration of a prototype for corporate actions data using XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language).

Interactive expert panels and in-depth presentations provided the details of this new and improved approach to corporate actions data and offered an opportunity for participants to network with experts from around the industry. The event was designed for:
