The Rules Development Working Group is composed of members of the Center for Data Quality and is responsible for the initial development of data quality rules and guidance exposed for public comment by the Data Quality Committee. This group meets every two weeks to review filing patterns, consider data quality issues and propose automated rules and guidance to help filers create quality data for regulatory reporting.
The Members of the Rules Development Working Group are:
Shelly Wavrin, Toppan Merrill (DQC Chair)
Shelly Wavrin joined Toppan Merrill in July 2012. Shelly supports international and domestic filers to meet their Interactive Data requirements with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), and is responsible for developing, implementing and managing XBRL technical training programs. She is a member of the IFRS Taxonomy Consultative Group and a member of the FASB Taxonomy Advisory Group.
Shelly has more than twenty years of professional experience in private industries and public accounting. Before joining Toppan Merrill, Shelly worked for a number of international consulting and public accounting firms. Her services are concentrated on consulting and other assurance related engagements rendered to public entities registered with the SEC as well as to private equity portfolio companies.
Shelly graduated from National ChengChi University in Taiwan with a B.A in Accounting, and received her MBA from University of Birmingham in England.

Chad Fleming, Donnelley Financial Solutions
Chad Fleming has worked in SEC Reporting since 2006 as corporate accountant, database admin, business analyst, developer, and product owner. Chad has been with DFIN since 2010 as product owner for Consolidated Validation. During that time, Chad developed DFIN’s Platinum validation level with over 2,000 dynamic rules, in addition to several other stand-alone validations. He also developed Chad’s Tools Utility (CTU) an auto-tagging software for DFIN that tags 9,000+ filings per year. Chad earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Research Psychology from the University of Michigan, Flint.
Sonny Jablonski, Workiva
Campbell Pryde, XBRL US, Inc
Campbell Pryde brings significant experience in technology development, accounting and finance to XBRL US. Before taking on the President and CEO position, Mr. Pryde led the development and maintenance of taxonomies as Chief Standards Officer, playing an integral role on the executive team. Mr. Pryde joined XBRL US from Morgan Stanley, where as Executive Director in the Institutional Securities Group, he managed the equity research XBRL-based valuation framework. He has been involved with XBRL since 2001, and served as Chairman of the XBRL US Domain Steering Committee during the critical initial build of the US GAAP Taxonomy under contract with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Pryde was a Partner in the Risk and Advisory Practice of KPMG LLP. He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Kelli Stratton, InsightSoftware
Kelli Stratton is a Sr. XBRL Consultant at insightsoftware. Kelli has been assisting and supporting clients with their SEC filings since June of 2010. She has watched the XBRL mandates change and evolve over the years. Prior to joining insightsoftware she spent her accounting days in the private sector as an accounting manager. Kelli graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Jason Tedesco, EdgarAgents, LLC
With over 20 years of experience as a licensed CPA, Jason joined EdgarAgents during 2022 as Director of XBRL Services. Jason’s accounting background is focused on the financial reporting needs of publicly traded companies and he has provided XBRL guidance to clients since the mandate was introduced in 2009. In addition to leading an EdgarAgents team of XBRL experts, Jason is also actively involved with several organizations dedicated to improving the usability and quality of XBRL data.

Paul Wroten, RDG Filings
Paul is the CFO at RDG Filings and has worked in the SEC Compliance field since June, 2010. Prior to joining RDG, Paul was in Public Accounting. He is a graduate of Boise State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Marketing, and has been a licensed CPA in the state of Idaho since 2010.
